Meets the 2nd Sunday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center

The MOM’s group at Lanes Chapel United Methodist Church is comprised of mostly young to middle-age mothers, but all women of the church are welcome. Our mission is to minister to the children of our church and the community. We have sponsored the Easter Eggstravaganza, Breakfast with Santa, and Trunk-or-Treat at Halloween. The MOM’s group also sponsors an annual community outreach ministry called “Ready to Go, Head to Toe” or as we like to call it, R2G.

The MOM’s group usually meets on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center except for two meetings a year which are typically held at a member’s home—our Christmas Party and our End-of-Summer Get-Together. Childcare is always available during our meetings by reservation with Viki Munn(judy@laneschapel.com).  Viki needs to be notified no later than the Thursday prior to our Sunday meeting of your childcare request.

Our meetings are very casual.  We have a potluck dinner, a short devotional, discuss business, share prayer requests, and have some fellowship time.

Becoming a part of the MOM’s group will provide you with an awesome opportunity to minister to the children our church and the community and is a great way to get to know some of the wonderful women in our church.

Laura Lamb has been the President with Tamara May assisting as Vice President from the Fall of 2009 through the Fall of 2010.  Beginning in September of 2010, Tamara May and Michele Blackmon will be Co-Presidents of the MOM’s group. Childcare for MOM’s scheduled events is discussed with Viki Munn well in advance of each event if childcare is possibly needed.

  • Sunday, August 14th – End-of Summer Get-Together at Michelle Findley’s House
