Mission Trips

The Great Commission in Matt.28:18-20 states that we are to go make disciples-whether it is next door or to another country. It is not an option but a command to all who call Jesus “LORD”. We are not all eveanglists in the formal sense, but we have all received gifts that we can use to help fulfill this commandment

LCUMC supports one mission trip that usually goes to Piedras Negras, Mexico every year. The trip takes place the week after Christmas. Our main goal is to support Cross Vision Ministries which has an ongoing ministry in this area. Several area churches go together that particular week to provide support in the areas of:

Vacation Bible School
Street Evangelism
Construction
Prayer and emotional support for the members of the local church.

The cost is usually under $100 and there are scholarships for those who cannot pay. Please consider going with us this year. Your life will be changed by touching the lives of those who need the touch of Jesus.
