Lanes Chapel Music and Fine Arts Department

The goal of music and fine arts at Lanes Chapel is to bring people closer to Christ through contemporary praise songs, worship choruses and hymns-traditional and new. We use a variety of music at each worship service that blends to glorify God. There is something for everyone! You are cordially invited to our worship service that begins at 10:30 a.m. Join us for a fun, upbeat, joyous hour of praise to our God!!

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is made up of singers who read music and have sung for many years to novice singers who love to lift their voice in song. We come from all walks of life and various backgrounds. We have one common goal-Christ has saved us, changed us and made us new. WE LOVE TO SING HIS PRAISE! Choir rehearsal is held each Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Childcare is available. There is a place for you in the choir and we would love to have you sing with us.

The Choir is directed by Melody Hughes. Melody has directed children, youth and adult choirs for over 20 years. Her philosophy is -"Everyone can sing and praise God! Just try!!!" Her high energy is contagious and her enthusiasm for worship is unbounded.

Lanes Chapel Praise Team

Praise Team vocalists are directed by Melody Hughes. Instrumentalists are directed by Carl Sadler, keyboardist. Carl has played for over 45 years and has been at Lanes Chapel in music ministry for 12 years. The Praise Team meets each Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and works with the Chancel Choir. Drama Team

The Drama Team is under the skillful direction of Joan Andrews. A variety of plays, skits and comedies are used to enliven and enhance worship. The drama team's practice times vary according to productions in which they are rehearsing. His Kids and Cherub Choir

Children's choir meets each Wednesday during Kids for Christ (KFC). A fellowship meal begins at 5:30 p.m. then children are dismissed to choir from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m. Children kindegarten through 5th grade make up His Kids  choir. Each December His Kids host a Musical and Dinner Theater.  The Cherub Choir is for children 3 to 5 years of age. Cherbus meet each Wednesday from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. It's a joy to see our smallest members learning at an early age how to be worship leaders and how to praise God.
