Welcome to Lanes Chapel. Our mission is to assist people in coming to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. Our mission is to glorify God through the communication of the Gospel, the education of God's people, and the fellowship of believers through the demonstration of love and acceptance in the spirit of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to maintain that close, personal, friendly, and loving fellowship of "family" that attracted us to Lanes Chapel in the first place and to never lose it. Finally, our mission is to celebrate what the risen Lord has done, is doing, and is going to do through our unrelenting faith in Him.

Abraham Lincoln studied his schoolbooks by the flickering glow of the fireplace, but most of us have trouble reading in dim light. We've all had the experience of reading or studying in the late afternoon, only to realize the room was growing darker. A sudden flip of the light switch corrected the problem, bathing the words of our book in light.
The illumination of the Holy Spirit is like that.
Let's learn to pray as the Psalmist did, "Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law" --- Psalm 119:18.
We should pray that the Holy Spirit would give us His illumination and thereby help us to understand rightly when we study Scripture or when we ponder situations in our lives. --- Wayne Gruden
